Remember when I asked about cake recipes for my son's first birthday? You shared some great ones. Here is the recipe I used thanks to finemealwoman contributor Jaime. You can find the full HERSHEY'S recipe here as well as all kinds of other fabulous recipes. It was simple, delicious, easy, and homemade. Try it the next time you make a cake.

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk

  1. Heat oven to 350°F
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans
  3. Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl
  4. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed of mixer 2 minutes
  5. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin)
