This is more of a note for anyone interested than a recipe.
I have read several times that molasses + white sugar = brown sugar. And then guess what? Today as I was making chocolate chip cookies, I realized I was out of brown sugar! I decided to risk it. I put about a tablespoon of molasses in with the 3/4 cup of white sugar that was supposed to be half white/half brown sugar and just mixed it in the the creaming with butter phase.
The results are excellent! They taste slightly different than normal, and I like it.
Go to know! Thanks for the tip, I had no idea!
