Easy!!! I love garlic so I think I used 5-6 cloves and wow, was it good!!! This is one of the best baked chicken recipes I think I have ever made. I served with Mashed potatoes and a green salad. Thank you for being patient with me as I have been a contributor since the beginning of this blog but never contributed. Hopefully this will be the beginning of lots of sharing of recipes. Bon Appetit!!!
I hope you don't mind my comment on this....this sounds very similar to an oven-fried chicken that I make.
ReplyDeleteTo reduce fat, I leave the chicken pieces a bit moist and then dip in whole wheat bread crumbs mix with flour (about 4:1), seasoned with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and any of your favorite herbs - we like thyme - then place on a baking sheet that has been sprayed with a light coating of oil.
I then use my oil in a spray can (I use olive oil in one of those refillable, pumpable bottles from BB&B) and spray the breadcrumbs on top of each piece of chicken. This gives it just enough oil to crisp a bit in the hot oven, but you're using VERY little oil since it's easily dispersed.
I definitely want to try the oil infused with garlic recipe :) I love garlic and this sounds delicious!
We had this chicken tonight and it was a HIT! Thanks for the recipe :)
